The series starts on Earth with Gokuu as it's main character. At that time Gokuu was 12 and was living by himself in the mountains. Son Gohan, Gokuu's adoptive grandfather, was killed accidentally by Gokuu one night when he turn to a weremonkey. The first person Gokuu met was Bulma, who was looking for the Dragonballs. Later on Gokuu joined Bulma's search for the Dragonballs. Gokuu had the four star Dragonball that Gohan gave him. And so starts Gokuu's adventures. The second character that Gokuu meets is the turtle, who was return to Master Roshi at the sea. There Master Roshi gave Gokuu a flying cloud as reward. The fourth person he meets is: Ulum who also join the gang in their search. And so on meeting more characters and gathering the dragonballs.
When they finally gather the 7 balls, Ulum got ahead of the rest and had his wish which was a really stupid wish. After that Gokuu turned into Oozaru and destroyed Pilaf's castle. Affortunately Yamcha's cat turned into a scissors and cut Gokuu's tail for the first time. After this Gokuu started training with Master Roshi. There he met Krilin who also trained with Gokuu. During the series 3 tournaments where held. At the end of the first tournament Gokuu had to fight against Jackie Chung (Mr. Roshi disguised). Jackie Chung won almost by a draw. After the first tournament Gokuu had a fight with Tao-pai-pai in which he was almost killed. Later he met Master Karim (cat) who trained him for 3 days. After that he confronted Tao-pai-pai again, in this occasion he defeated him.In the second tournament Gokuu lost to Tenshinhan, because Gokuu crashed with a car outside of the ring and for that he lost. After that Gokuu faced Tambori (piccolo's son) who killed Krilin. Gokuu then had gather the dragonballs to bring Krilin back to life. Gukuu later killed Tambori.After that Gokuu had a almost deadly confrontation with Piccolo. Piccolo defeated Gokuu and stole his dragonballs. Gokuu was later cured, and was given the ultrasacred water for becoming stronger. Piccolo faced and killed Master Roshi and took his dragonballs. By that time Piccolo also killed Chauzo. Piccolo had gathered the 7 dragonballs and wished for youth. Later Gokuu faced and defeated another son of Piccolo and Piccolo himself. Master Roshi was brought to life again. After this Gokuu trained with Kami sama for 3 years.
In the third tournament Gokuu was 18. Gokuu won against the last of Piccolo's son. In this tournament Gokuu promised Chi-Chi or Milk that he was going to marry her. \After this Gokuu had to rescue milk father's castle. Gokuu and Milk where married. The dragonball-z series began.

The Dragonball-z series starts with the introduction of Gohan, Gokuu's first son. I think Gohan was about 3 years old. Gokuu takes him to Master Roshi's Island where the whole gang was. Things where going swell until, an alien ship landed there. It was Raditz, Gokuu's big brother, who came looking for Gokuu. Gokuu was very surprise because he did not have any recollection of his real family. Raditz asked him what was going on, did he forget his mission? Gokuu, having suffer from amnesia had forgotten about his mission of conquering Earth, but because he was now a good guy he didn't like his brother proposal of taking over Earth. So Raditz got angry and kidnapped Gohan. Raditz challenge Gokuu to a duel, and Gokuu accepted. At this time Gokuu new that his brother was more powerful than him, but with Gohan at stake he had no choice but to fight. Piccolo joined Gokuu against Raditz, but he was to strong for both of them. Their final chance was Piccolo's new technique, but in order for it to work he had to have enough time to power up. Gokuu then grab his brother, so that he couldn't move, and Piccolo threw his attack destroying not only Raditz, but Gokuu as well.
As they were both dying Raditz told them that two other Saiya-jin, much more powerful than he, heard all his fight through the radio and wherecomingg to Earth in about a year. This newstroubledd both Piccolo and Gokuu. So Gokuu died, but affortunately he was chosen totrainn with Kayosama or king K.; the only trouble with this was that the only way Gokuu could get there was through the dragon road which wasenormouse. It took Gokuu months to get there. Meanwhile Piccolo said that he was going to train Gohan, the onlycatchh was that Gohan had to prove he was worth it. So he was left alone to survive by himself through many hardships;whichh he did overcome and was trained by Piccolo. During the year the gang's job was to find the dragonballs to bring Gokuu back.
When Gokuu finally got there he started his training under Kayosama. The first real hardship was adapting to the planet's atmospherewhichh was ten times that of the Earth. Another trial was to catch a monkey and a sort of a Bee (it's harder than it sounds). Gokuu also learned new attacks but the coolest was the Henkidama, which gathers energy from thesurroundingg organisms and uses it to build a gigantic energy ball. This techniques takes lots of time and concentration. Finally the year passed and the other Saiya-jins arrived.
So now the real action begins. Gokuu was wished back, but had to travel through the Dragon's path again only this times it takes like 3 days to arrive in Earth. Vegeta and Nappa overheard Gokuu's chat about the Dragonball, and now they wanted them. Vegeta wanted to wish for eternal life so he could defeat Freezer later on and become the ruler of the universe. Vegeta and Nappa were responsible for the death of: Tenshihan, Chauzo, and Yamcha. Gohan was also about to diebuth Piccolo took the attack for him (Piccolo grew very fond of Gohan). Nappa was then killed by Vegeta because he was really stupid and a disgrace to the saiya-jins. Gokuu then started fighting with Vegeta and was beating the crap out of him until Vegeta changed into a waremonkey and started beating the rap out of Gokuu and Gohan. Affortunately Vegeta's tail was cut out and returned to normal. Then Gohan changed into a waremonkey and kicked Vegeta around and was about to kill him when he change back. He manage to give to land on Vegeta almost killing him. Gokuu realize that he would have to use the Henkidama to defeat Vegeta, but being so weak Krilin had to help control it; At last Vegeta was defeated, and was about to be killed by Krilin when Gokuusaidd that he was to be left alive for him to fight again.
Gokuu was really hurt bad, but in time he recuperated from his injuries and got even stronger. And another quest started, this time because Piccolo was dead Kami Sama also died, and with him the Dragonballs too. So the last chance ofbringingn the others back was going to Namekusei (Piccolo's home planet) to find the original Dragon Balls. Vegeta also knew about this and also began to search for them. But the real trouble was that Freezer also knew about them and also wanted to wish for eternal life. So Three space ships where constructed following Gokuu's and Piccolo's spaceship plans by Bulma's father. The first one was used by Bulma, Krilin, and Gohan to go to Namekusei. The second one was used by Gokuu, and the third was going to be use by Chi-Chi (milk), but she never did use it (it was later used by Vegeta). So Bulma, Gohan, and Krilin had many adventures as they reach Namekusei. When they arrived there Freezer and Vegeta where already there, so they had to be very careful. In Namekusei Vegeta had many fights with Freezer's men and at last defeated them all. He got real problems when special forces Ginyu came and beat the crap out of him, Krilin, and Gohan. Gokuu arrived and easily defeated all of them except for Captain Ginyu cause he wasn't there. When the captain met Gokuu and realize that he was much more stronger than him he stole his body. But because he couldn't control it, Vegeta kicked his but until he tried to take over Vegeta's body but failed and ended inside a frog's body. Gokuu went to healing then.
Piccolo was brought back to life with the help of the Namek's Balls. When he and the others died they were taken to Kayosama for training. And finally the battle with Freezer started. Freezer went through four transformations, each stronger than the one before. He killed Vegeta and Dende. At first Gokuu and Freezer where very balance but with the last transformation Gokuu had to use a super Henki Dama just to hurt Freezer. Of course Freezer was stronger and stopped the energy ball. But this made him really mad and killed Krilin, which made Gokuu really, really, really mad and caused him to change into a super Saiya-jin. Freezer knowing that he was weaker than Gokuu tried to destroy the planet because even though Gokuu was stronger he couldn't breath in space. This gave Gokuu about 5 minutes to kill Freezer and escape before the planet blew. Back on earth the Mr. Popo followed Kayosama's plan and wished all the characters that Freezer killed where brought back to life. When they were all brought back to life Dende wish for all of them to go to Earth. Then for Gohan's and Piccolo's return. Gokuu didn't want to return until he finished Freezer so he wasn't wish back. After that with onlysecondss remaining and Piccolo fighting with hismaximumn power Gokuu defeated him. He was cut to pieces by his own attack and later finished by Gokuu.
Namekusei exploded but Gokuu got out of there almost by a miracle. Back on Earth they waited for a year to wish Yamcha and Krilin back. Gokuu couldn't be brought back to life because he was not dead. The other Nameks went away. As well as Vegeta who stayed for a year along the others at Bulma's house. Everything went back to normal, until the Garlic jr. series began.
